OMS-Group Booth and Speaker Slot at European Utility Week Vienna
The OMS-Group is looking forward to welcoming you at its booth at the European Utility Week in Vienna from the 6th to 8th of November, 2018. The stand will present a variety of trendsetting OMS products from our members on a "Product Wall".
Furthermore, Charles van Dyck will explain the benefits of OMS during a 20 minute speaker slot in the session "Enabling Interoperability in Meter Deployment" on the 8th of November. A team of OMS experts is looking forward to answer your questions at booth Aj81. |
OMS Speaker Slot at Metering Days in Fulda
OMS-Group Board Member Hermann Trottler has a speaker slot in the forum at the Metering Days in Fulda. The topic of his presentation will be: OMS – The Fine Difference/Open Metering Communication in National and International Comparison.
The Metering Days Fulda will feature 40 specialist presentations, pitches and discussion rounds with over 600 expert participants expected from the German speaking area in Europe – including numerous representatives of the OMS-Group. |
Eandis and Infrax are now Fluvius!
On July 1st, 2018, Eandis and Infrax merged into Fluvius. Fluvius, now the largest inter-municipal company of Belgium will serve households and companies in all 308 Flemish municipalities. The merger will operate the distribution networks for natural gas and electricity, sewerage, cable distribution and heat and will rely on the OMS standard for its multi-energy applications.

OMS-based Smart Meter Gateways nearing BSI approval
German energy providers are set to launch the nationwide rollout of intelligent measurement systems once the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has completed device certification.The BSI TR-03109-2 test specification for the security module of the Smart Meter Gateway as part of the Technical Guideline BSI TR-03109 was published from the BSI on 8th of August, 2018. |

Product listing: New devices added
The number of certified OMS devices is growing. By the end of September, 5 new smart water meters were listed on the OMS website: products by Diehl Metering GmbH, Itron France, E. Wehrle GmbH, Kamstrup A/S. Heat and cooling meter, heat allocator and an adapter for heat meters added by Kamstrup A/S , Landis+Gyr GmbH, Zhejiang Joy Electronic Technology Co., Ltd and QUNDIS GmbH.

OMS-Group Board intends to change its strategy
The Executive Board of the OMS-Group met in Cologne on August 16th and in Frankfurt on September 18th. Andreas Bolder, second spokesperson of the OMS Executive Board, summarizes the results below.
More and more OMS components are launched on the metering market. Therefore the Executive Board intends to include OMS sensors that have been tested with the OMS conformance test tool into the certification process. Momentarily certification for successfully tested OMS sensors is not possible. The Executive Board warmly invites all OMS members to attend the General Meeting on November 29th, 2018. Due to its central location, the meeting will take place at the ZVEH in Frankfurt/Main. The ongoing term of office of the Executive Board ends this year and board members are to be newly confirmed at the General Meeting. In order to grant this a broad support, the board asks all members to participate. The Board is striving for a change in strategy. The aim is to increase added value for its members. At the General Meeting, members will be appropriately informed and asked for discussion. |
