Standards & Sources

Through the OMS standard measuring consumption of electricity, gas, water and heat on a uniform communication interface is implemented. For each of these media different legal and normative provisions exist at national, European and international level.
Under the following links you will find further information for the framework  within which the OMS specification is being developed. On one hand, the national guidelines from the various EU Member States are considered, on the other hand European and international standards, are the basis for the Open Metering System and its specifications.
