OMS-Group presents their interoperable metering devices at Enlit Europe

Cologne, October 28th, 2021 – The OMS-Group will be exhibiting a growing number of interoperable metering devices at Enlit Europe 2021 in Milan. From November 30th to December 2nd, leading OMS members will present their product developments at booth 8.B50. In addition, OMS experts will provide information on product certification, product listings as well as the conformance test tool.

The Open Metering System (OMS) specification enables guaranteed plug & play interoperability through a certification system. Millions of meters and devices are in successful use in Europe and around the world. Due to the focus on low energy consumption, OMS specifications are particularly suitable for battery-operated devices such as intelligent gas, water, and heat energy meters as well as sensors. Additionally, OMS is very suitable for power supply systems and electricity meters.

The OMS-Group is a 68 member strong interest group of companies from eighteen countries worldwide. The founding organizations are figawa and KNX Association. With the Open Metering System (OMS) specification, the industry group has developed an open, multi-vendor, interoperable communication standard for electricity, gas, thermal energy, and water meters, as well as submetering. OMS is based on the EN 13757-x standard, has been included into the EU mandate M/441 for the standardization of smart metering systems, and is compatible with the widely-used KNX standard (ISO / IEC 14543-3 = EN 50090).

The OMS specification is available free of charge at https://www.oms-group.org.
